A cross between a wind instrument and a piano
A technical definition of an accordion is a wind instrument with a small keyboard and free metal reeds that make a sound when air is forced past them by a bellows operated by the player. The first thing you will want to do when learning is buy or rent one. After that, the best way to learn is to get an instructor, but if that is not an option, then a music book can work just as well. Start of slowly, just practicing simple rhythms and holding long notes. Slowly try harder and harder tunes, and soon you will be a fine accordion player. This can be just a hobby, or you could go out onto the streets and make some change, if you are brave enough. If you do this, remember that you may very well be criticized my many people, but ignore the bad and just hear the good, and allow yourself to take suggestions. Remember, this is not a day long activity, this will take a long time, weeks to years, but it can be a very fun experience.
